Welcome to the FAST-DOT database web page.

Please select either the Experiments tab or the Lasers tab to view the contents of this database.

This database features experimental findings that have been generated with laser sources incorporating quantum dot technology to various degrees in the laser sources used.

Such laser sources were utilized in performing nonlinear spectroscopy experiments on a variety of samples of biomedical interest. The database holds all images generated through

SHG:Second Harmonic Generation
THG:Third Harmonic Generation
TPEF:Two photon excitation fluorescence

The degree of complexity of the images and data collected reflects the evolutionary capabilities of the laser sources used, and in many cases discovering the detection limit of the nonlinear processes signal from the samples. They are intended to give the visitor a feel of the sophistication in image quality collection and post processing techniques available with the current setups. Further sophistication is incorporated in the existing laboratory and bench prototypes, developed by the industrial partners of FAST-DOT.
